Spirulina green powder taste, softened

On its own, spirulina green powder has a strong sea-like taste that puts a lot of people off. In our blend it sits behind raw cacao and goji berry, so the algae taste is much milder.

Spirulina superfood in a smoothie

Spirulina and chlorella both disappear best into a cold, blended drink with frozen fruit. Recipes are on superfood powder for smoothies.

Spirulina and chlorella questions

How much spirulina and chlorella is in a scoop?

The label lists ingredients by weight but does not give a percentage for each. Spirulina is the fourth ingredient and chlorella the seventh.

What is the difference between spirulina and chlorella?

Spirulina is a spiral, multi-celled blue-green algae with a soft outer layer. Chlorella is a single round cell with a tough wall, which is why it is sold cracked cell.

Will it turn my drink green?

Darker rather than green. The cacao in the blend turns it brown-green.
