Superfood powder smoothie recipes

Each recipe makes one glass and uses one 7 g scoop. Blend until smooth.

1. Choc banana

1 frozen banana, 250 ml milk or oat milk, 1 tablespoon peanut butter, 1 scoop, a handful of ice.

2. Mixed berry

1 cup frozen mixed berries, 150 g yoghurt, 150 ml water, 1 scoop.

3. Green tropical

1 cup frozen pineapple, a handful of baby spinach, 250 ml coconut water, 1 scoop.

4. Breakfast oats

3 tablespoons rolled oats, 1 frozen banana, 250 ml milk, a pinch of cinnamon, 1 scoop.

5. Smoothie bowl

1 cup frozen berries, half a frozen banana, a splash of milk (just enough to blend thick), 1 scoop. Top with sliced fruit and seeds.

Cacao powder in smoothies

Raw cacao is the first ingredient in our blend, so every smoothie above has a chocolate note. It pairs best with banana, peanut butter, coffee and dark berries. With very sour fruit, add a little honey or a date.

Spirulina powder smoothie tips

Spirulina has a strong taste on its own. Frozen fruit, a creamy base (banana, yoghurt or nut butter) and a cold drink hide it best. Our blend already pairs it with cacao and berries, so it is far milder than straight spirulina.

Acai powder smoothie, the easy way

Acai berry is the sixth ingredient in our blend. For an acai-style bowl, use recipe 5 with frozen blueberries and keep it thick enough to eat with a spoon.

Smoothie superfoods: what is in one scoop

Raw cacao, goji berry, green barley grass, spirulina, beetroot, acai berry, cracked cell chlorella and camu camu. The full list is on Daily Superfood Powder, and more ways to take it are on how to take superfood powder.

Smoothie questions

How much superfood powder goes in a smoothie?

One 7 g scoop (3 slightly rounded teaspoons) per smoothie. Start with half if you are new to spirulina or chlorella.

Should I blend it or shake it?

Either works. Blending with frozen fruit gives the smoothest result; a shaker bottle is fine with milk or juice.

Can I make it the night before?

Yes. Keep it in the fridge in a sealed jar and shake it again before drinking.
